IRSPM XV: “Value, Innovation and Partnership” in Public Services 11-13 April 2011
The fifteenth Annual conference of the International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM) is being hosted by Trinity College, Monday 11th – Wed 13th April 2011. The theme of this conference is ‘Value, Innovation and Partnership’ and over 400 academics from around the world will be presenting and discussing the latest research in public policy, management and practice over these three days.
Recognising the relevance and timeliness of the conference topic to issues facing Ireland and the Public Service, the Irish organising committee, with the support of the Department of the Taoiseach, Dublin City Council and the Institute of Public Administration have introduced a ‘Practitioners Engagement Day’ into the conference programme for the first time in IRSPM history. This is scheduled for Tuesday, 12 April from 8:30am to 6:00pm and includes a lunch in Trinity College with all of the conference delegates. The programme for the day includes 16 different panel sessions on such diverse topics as:
* E-Government, Public Sector Reform and Innovation
* Performance Management in Public Services
* Local Governance
*Collaboration as a Public Management Strategy

In addition to the Practitioner’s Engagement Day on the 12th, those availing of the special rate for practitioners are also invited to attend the Keynote speech by Prof. Mark Dyer, Director of Trinity Haus on Monday afternoon, the panel sessions scheduled after the Keynote and a reception for all delegates hosted by Dublin City Council, the Lord Mayor, in City Hall at 6:30pm.
